forgotten playland party game

Countless nostalgic memories are about to collide with modern gaming as Forgotten Playland makes its anticipated debut on the Epic Games Store on March 27, 2025. This free-to-play social party game, developed through a collaboration between Duckland Games and Vermillion Studios, transforms an abandoned attic into a whimsical playground populated by adorable plush characters called PlushKyns.

The game features over 20 unique party games spanning various thematic areas including Space Disco, Jungle Camp, and Beach Bar. Players can expect everything from light-hearted mini-games to more challenging competitive experiences. Even waiting between matches becomes entertaining with dedicated lobby games keeping the fun flowing. The game also offers seasonal events with a battle pass system to keep content fresh and engaging.

Dive into Space Disco, trek through Jungle Camp, or relax at Beach Bar—with entertainment that never stops, even in the lobby.

“It’s like your childhood toy box got zapped with gaming electricity and came to life,” explains Will Davis, Head of Studio with 30 years of AAA experience. His team has created a progression system with 60 levels, allowing players to access cosmetics, banners, avatars, emotes, and stickers as they advance through the game’s vibrant world. The game’s innovative approach to virtual economies mirrors the decentralized finance systems revolutionizing traditional banking structures.

Forgotten Playland incorporates blockchain technology through Beam, a gaming-focused platform, but with a player-first approach. The $FP token serves as the main in-game currency, and while NFT functionality for cosmetics is planned for future updates, all blockchain features remain entirely optional. Players who couldn’t care less about crypto can simply enjoy the game without engaging with these elements.

The game runs on Windows 10 64-bit systems, requiring at least 8GB RAM (16GB recommended) and a DirectX 11 or 12 compatible GPU. Currently, audio and text are available in English and Spanish, with plans for more language support. The new PlushKyn Battle mode offers an exciting battle royale experience where players can earn XP while competing against each other.

While the initial release targets PC gamers through the Epic Games Store, the development team is already exploring possibilities for console versions. With its blend of competitive gameplay, deep customization options, and social features, Forgotten Playland aims to capture the hearts of party game enthusiasts looking for both nostalgia and innovation in their gaming experiences.
